I am having a problem with my exhast. Now with the 60 in the front my pinion is further over to the drivers side, which will cause my driveshaft to hit my full lenght headers from wildhorses. Are there any other headers that may fit, besides mustang shorties, which I don't want to modify. I noticed shorty f150 for the new gen. trucks. What have you done? Is my only option manifolds?

All figured out. Depending on the motor. i am running a 302, and the headers hang down WAY too low on the drivers side. ou can getsome mutang headers stock on the 88-92 5.0's. they dump in the ass end of the truck, so you can reroute them to work. i am gonna get mine next week and to the shop I go. maybe we can go to the same shop and get a deal with them. I like going to Discount Brake and Muffler on 11th and Harrison for my exhaut work. Let me know.

Dude, i drive by your house all the time i wanna check that theing out now. You ar never home???? Let me know when is a good time.

Are those stock headers or manifolds. I now on the aftermarket mustang headers the problem is with the collector interphering with the clutch linkage.
I wouldn't mind tring to work a deal with the exhast work, but I still have to get my front mounted. Been waiting for rod ends for two weeks:mad3: .
I don't have my truck at my house, but my brothers in the excelcior. I'm usually home after 4pm.,well except for lately been at my bros house pretending to work on the truck:rainbow:
Hey I even took my zj back to stock(very depressing)

Mark (Welndmn) Harris runs stock 351 truck manifold and he says they work great. Just another way of thinking

Here's a link: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40435&highlight=%2Aheaders%2A

I have the same problem with my std width 44  I'm going the try the 351 manifolds and see how they work.

Dude, the front was a walk in the park to swap in. I am having a pain in the ass making my rear F150 spring mounts. I shuold be done with it this weekend, then some other small odds and ends, and off ot the exhaust shop. I want to run a single exhaust, but I ma no sure how to do that on thsi thing. As for the Clutch linkage, I am lost there. I heard you had to bring the tube size down to a 2", but I can be wrong. I know the STOCK Mustang 5.0 headers work on the 302 with the auto. This is what I am workign with. Either way, go check out e-bay for the manifolds. Theya re a dime a dozen.

Where in the excelsior is the Bronco? I want to check it out now that it is BIG!!!! If you are ever in the sunset, cruise on by and drink some beers, and you can check mine out.

Hey are you doing a shackle flip like I did. I am using basicly the same springs.
The truck is on vienna of paris(over by crocker park).
Do you work for:beer: I've got a little of tube work I need.
I was told that the stock manifolds from the early mustang may work because it dumps straight back instead of a 45* angle.

Welndmn any pics would be a help.

It really sucks I can't use my headers(only 4 months old) they worked very well .

another option would be to fork over some $$ and get the Wild Horses JBA shortie headers - they work well with the clutch linkage, and should allow you to route your exhaust where you need it.

Dude, it all depends on what you want done. If it is pretty absic, bending wise, bring it over, I can do it really qucik. If it is much more volved, I gotta charge, but I am VERY cheap in comparison.

Yeah hey i got a project for ya, one day i need to drive out there and i need a engine cross brace i need made, to go from my shocks through the inner fender and accross with some bushing to remove it, i will pay for it just want you to finish up your junk so i don't get blamed for it taking to long to finish or something :D
Should not be hard, just about 2 simple bends, maybe something neat to protect the radiator, mmmmmmmm i think a simple project i will evlove into something harder, man i need a bender :(

Mark, whenever you want it done, we can do that in a matter of a few minutes. I finally got the right bushings and all that crap. Let me know when youwant it done. I will do that for the cost of tubing adn beer. To hell with it, just the cost of some beer. I am gonna buy a BUNCH of 1.75 .120 wall, so I will have a bunch left over.

here's some pics of mine with 1970 mustang 302 manifolds. I used these to clear the clutch linkage and high pinion dana 60 and driveshaft.

Crazyhorse, thats what I need Alpo23 suggested them to me.
I would love to have headers, but with those I can put my exhast above the rails.
Mark, thanks for the pics.

Flatty, the stuff I need bent up is simple one bend. Since I took out the door inserts(last time you were over) I want to put a bar along the seats to double as arm rest and rock deflector along the door.
