78 TH350/203. Shops are telling me 725 to 850 to rebuild, If I pull it. What are cost in your areas.

I bang them out the door for $550.00 which includes a rebuilt torque convertor and shift kit.

I see kits available, how hard is this to do yourself?

You can buy the rebuild manual and go at it.
