: In case anyone cares I am lowering the jeep

Since I have to pull both rear-ends to re-gear. I might as well lower the heep too.

Here is the idea. Take the rear 5.5 RE springs and sell them for whatever. Replace with 4.5 cheepo springs.

Take the 1 inch spacer out of the front and it should sit level.

I hope. I think it's just a bit too high. This should help. I will still have plenty of wheel travel. That's not a problem.

What do you think? Good Idea or bad?

Just kidding, do whatever you want Bert, I wouldn't change your jeep at all though, It works well with they way it is setup. It would be nice if you came wheeling with us some time, no pissing contest just some good old fun.

Go for it. Center of gravity being low is where its at. The lower your CG is, the better off you are.

Bert,
I don't think it's too high, personally. I wish you would have said this before I bought 3/4" spacers for the front of mine. That winch dropped it a little. I barely can flex it without rubbing with my General 35's (Which are probably only 33.5")... I'd keep yours the same as it is :D

I'm a happy dude, man. I just picked mine back up yesterday. I got my 4.56's , Detroit and Lockright :D...*Click click click*
All I need is some spares for my front, and I'm done.
Woo Hoo :D

I say go for it. Lower COG kick ass. If you dont need the room for the tires then its wasted space.

Well it seamed to me that on every off camber I needed someone to cat-a-ma-ran me. I hope that the 1 inch front and the 1 1/2 inch rear will help that out some.

Heck the rear springs are all I had to buy and they were only 94.00 Superlift springs..

So now I will have teraflex uppers Teraflex longs RE 5.5 springs front and Superlift 4 springs rear... Like I care what brand it is.... :D

I figured I had to pull the axles out anyhow to re-gear might as well drop it a touch. heck that little bit will hardly be noticeable except ( I Hope) on off cambers..

What the heck its only 94.00 Right?

Where? Hmmm, Well the loose cannons have a ride on sunday at macentire OHIO. That was lots of fun.

But I wont be back together by then. The front end is gettin geared as we speak and my rear springs are here. Just waiting to do the rear gear install. Then put it back together.

As for where to go..

Secrete location in Apollo. ( you will need your winch) shhhh :D
East brady, (the unexplored area)
Oil City,

here is the list of events in Ohio Pa area

Subject: Re: Cannons Calendar 2002
Because of the RustBelt meeting that has been rescheduled for April 7 I
will be unable to attend the Richland Furnace run. This is not a
cancellation of the run, just notification I will not be there.
