how much did those of you who did 700r swaps pay for it? i've been considering getting something with OD for long highway trips... and i think my options are pretty much either a 700r swap, a 4l80e swap (ala Jet), or a gearvendors overdrive (22% OD) for six total forward gears.

gear vendors=$2700 plus shipping plus install. probly a lil more than 3 grand total
700r=dunno???
4l80e=dunno???

stock tranny is a tf727, which i like for the beef factor
the 700r will be weaker than stock
the 4l80e will be strong as stock, and has OD to boot

Go with US gears overdrive... it goes inbetween then tranny and t case so you can use it in all ranges.... cheaper to.
