I had an aussie in the front of my TJ (auto hubs not manual) when they very first came out, I have since sold it (when I upgraded axles), and its now on its third (fourth?) owner, running strong!

I run a aussie on the rear on my 88 YJ, with 33" tires. Its my first locker, but I'm happy with it for sure, and would purchase it again.

I have a friend with aussie's front and rear...they work but DAMN are they loud on the street. I've never heard a louder ratchet (clicking noise) at low speed around corners.

can you give us more info, what axle, tranny, tire size, vehicle usage (DD or trail only, etc.)???
My 2 cents, had two lockrites, pretty much same thing, loved both of them but very noisy, worth it in my opinion for the extra traction. My stock wrangler with a rear locker would walk were lifted TJ/XJs would struggle to go on 34" tires.

Aussie in the front d44. No complaints, other than my rig doesn't steer for shit, but hydro is coming...

PM sent to have your friend contact us. He may have his lockers set at an outer edge of the specification and this could be the cause of the louder click he is experiencing.
