ok dont flame me just yet.. theres a 1964 interantional scout sitting out behind the house was my dads truck at some point any way im wondering what axles where under it and if u new there length? all i know is its a convertable top scout witha slant 4 and its a 1964 any info would help if the axles are worth the time and hassle they might go under my yj

You don’t want them.. Dana 27 at both ends or a two piece Dana 44 junk..:barf: Probably have 4:27 gears though…did you say it was a ragtop?

I think It has d27 F+R , I believe that the 44 rear was introduced in 65, but it may have been used before then. Some have a power lok in the rear. While the axles are fine for the application, with larger tires, more motor, or even a small amount of abuse they will:nuke: :nuke: DO NOT SWAP THEM IN!!!! they are weak as hell, nice low gearing though, but too hard to live with the weakness IMHO. If you want to swap in some axles , use SII or waggy D44's way stronger although the gearing isnt as good, they will hold up way better.

forget the axels is it a scout cub convertible?
does it have a full flip up and down roof?
cool trucks if so...theres one near me all mint its really cool
lots of 800's had 4:88 in the d27s (mine does) with power locks at both ends
talk about traction and granny gears stock...the 800's ruled
mine has 7.05 x 2.02 x 4.88= 69.49 crawl ratio with a twin stick transfercase and lockers at both ends...all stock .
and its still a hoot to drive
and in the right hands can still do some pretty tough trails

honesty i dont even know what it would take to make it driveable its been sitting upin the field since the mid 70's if i rember right it is convertable .. for sum reason im thinking hard top but i could be wrong and i konw dad said it was a stout lil thing.. ihavent really looked at it closely.. but i was wondering if there was sumthing that i could take off of it

And leave the IH stuff alone, you Heep boys only seem to hurt yourself with the stuff. Stick with the stock stuff that breaks before you can get into trouble.
