I'm too poor to go out and buy lockers for my chrystler 9.25, so i was thinking about just welding the spider gears. the rig is my daily driver, but just about every weekend im wheeling. is there anyone out there who has done this and regrets it? why? If i decide to do it which type of welding rod sould i use? i was told a 7018 would do fine.

mine is welded and i love it. drives better than a locker, quieter too. i say weld it! use a 7018 and burn it in hot! weld it in as many places as you can put a weld. your tires will wear quiker, but you should already know that:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
