I'm trying to remove the rear drums on my SF 14B (98 'burb) and not having much luck. Checking the FSM it only shows the FF version. I'm trying to find the lever that lets be back off the star adjuster, but can't find it. Managed to tighten the adjuster without a problem :shaking: , now I need to go the other way

The 14B Bible only deals with the FF version...

you said it, now you just need to move the adjuster the other way, if it moved one way then it will go the other and your lucky it isn't frozen up.

Then your going to need a big hammer and hit the face of the drum where it meets the hub, and you might need a torch to heat the same area, just don't hit the back of the drum and try to beat it off

If that beast has self adjusters and I bet it certainly does-yer going to have to poke the locking tab back away from the spur wheel while you reverse the wheel to back off the adjustment. Yer gonna need a third hand to hold a bright light to see in there.

Found it. I was looking for a a lever that went up and down, not in and out. Didn't get the drum off, but backed the adjustment out enough so the shoes aren't dragging.
