Who knows how far I should set it back on the frame?
Does anyone have deminsion for motor mounts for a 351W to a yj frame?
If not where can I buy them?
I seen a website on here once but can't find it now, a ready made 351W conversion to a YJ, who dose this?
Any other advice would be great.
Thanks eric

itll mount almost the same as a 302, main difference will be its a little wider and the exhaust will have to be done differently than a 302. so mount it about like a 302 and go from there.

351 is a little taller than the 302, too. I have one in my YJ, I'll try and get some pics, but the heep is at my buddy's shop right now. But yeah, do it like a 302 and you should be good.

i bought these mounts for my mopar 360 for my 88 yj. Great stuff and very stout.
as for the location, just set the engine in with the mounts c-clamped to the frame, put the tub on (if its off) put the front grill and radiator on. Check clearance with radiator and check hoodline clearance...make sure to leave room for the air cleaner....its really easy just takes some time and alot of measuring

The farther forward the better because of being able to run a longer rear drive shaft and get better suspension articulation. Look, just work slow and try to do it right and it will actually go together faster.

Probably will be ok, it would depend on your overall setup though. I was not happy with mine for a long time, on the trail the temp would just seem too high to me. I've since added some hood vents a Novak conversion radiator and a taurus fan, and it seems better around my buddy's shop, haven't had it on the trail in the heat yet though.
But yeah, most electric fans w/ a built in shroud will give you more room than an engine mounted fan.

Doing the same thing with a CJ. The only difference is frame width. I got my engine mounts from advanced adapters. And I am glad I did. The arms that mount to the engine, and are set on the frame mounts, have multiple holes so you can move the engine side to side till you get it where you want it.
I have my engine set more to the back, but not all the way. I can still get at the bellhousing bolts if that helps. I have room for my stock CJ rad, and a taurus fan. I also went back to Advanced Adapters for their headers, inside frame rail. I just had my exhaust done and it turned out great!!! They sound awesome, barely take up any room. Very nice.

Ignore the front end of this thing, I have completely revamped it. There are the mounts.
