what transmission do you have? would you consider running a cable speedometer that reported the wrong speed when in low range?

if so, check if you could plug your speedo right into your transmission.

why not ask the guys at STAK to make you one with a cable speedo? im sure they will for a few extra bucks.

their site says there is not enough room for one

not enough room for one in the case, but since it shares D300 components (i beleive), it may be possible to put in an extension tailhousing like the d300 does for it's mechanical speedo.

either way, once you figure out a solution i'm sure you'll realize that any other solution is 10x more epensive than just buying an electronic speedo guage.

I was going for the old school all stock gauges in my Scout - I guess I can just leave a dead speedo gauge in there and run a GPS but for 3k..

well I called up my local speedo shop and they do have such a unit, for $400..

Because I need to run a speed sensor for my 5.0 and I'd like to run my manual speedo gauge and I allready have an inline pulse sender unit I am going to knock STAK off of my choices list..
