Ok, so I've searched through all the posts I could find on the google pirate search, since I can't seem get our red star search to do anything at all:shaking:
Anyhow, I've got an'87 R20 Suburban that I am wanting to convert to 4wd....yea I know, just swap frames right? Well, I already started to do that and found where my donor frame needed all body mounts from the front doors back as well as some rear frame repair.
So, I'm wanting a better ride and a small lift, so I'm looking into the 52in. spring swap.....since I'm only looking to run 35s and it will be mostly a dd I don't really need the front axle moved 2in. forward. My thougts are to put the front hangers in factory locations up front and then since I have to drill the holes for the shackle hanger I figured I could move it rearward from stock to correct the shackle angle.
Those of you who have made the swap, do you think this would be a good idea? Suggestions? Advice?
Thanks,
Justin
