I thought I had seen this info on the BB, but I can't get to it now.

Right now I have a spread bore-to-spreadbore carb spacer on my 345, but the intake is a square bore. How detrimental is this to my performance??

I know I can get a spread bore-to-square bore adapter for about $15 @ autozone (just got back from there) is it worth it??

TRADE some dumb ass on the BB for a spread bore. All the mall crawlers like the edelbrock square bores, cuz there cheap. :rasta:

I'll trade ya if you pay shipping both ways.

Uhmmm can you say $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Those are way to heavy to make even just paying shipping worth it!!!

Not that I think you're trying to rip me, but that would be a lot of money.

Oh wait, are they UNDER 100lbs??

Actually I'm gonna look into using some Fed-Ex ground Call tags...Give me a day or two.

PS: are they ready to bolt on, or do they need vated and painted and shiat...I just did all that to mine :(

It's ready to install. I hot tanked, acid washed , glass beaded and painted it with binder red. it's a EGR style.

Hay is for horses....and Robert doesn't have a tail (unless you know something I don't??) :flipoff2:

I don't know what the fawk "waght" is, but the 304 intake weighs about the same, minus a few lbs, as you would have expected. That is to say, there's no significant weight savings between the two. :D

P.S. Chief, how's that job at the fab shop going? You still working there or what's up with all that, we haven't heard anything about it lately (or I missed it).

Dam do I got horse shoos the jobs going grate, still working there and I love it the employers are grate people (like us) and not no ass holes. Latly I've been pulling 7/8 hour days on sun/sat. They like me alot there and try to get me as meany hours as posabul (in reason) At first I was the sweeper but now they got me on more advanced like I already have pulled out two engins one out of a 69 mustang and the other out of a chev flat deck with a baged clutch. and a bunch of little stuf like changeing gaskets and cleening out engines. But dam do I love my job

thanks for asking

All right, I got the OK to use some Fed-Ex ground Prepaid shipping tags (good for up to 100lbs)

Couple more questions for ya:

Is that a QuadraJet friendly bolt pattern on those? or would I still need an adapter?

And, If I would need an adapter, what would be my benefit of going with the Spread Bore intake vs. the Spread bore to square bore adapter?

And, Could I send you a prepaid shipping tag, and have you send me one, THEN after I swap them, I WILL send you mine??

I would like to minimize my down-time ;)

And: Is this the intake were are talking about??

Yup QJet bolts on with no added crap. It's a spare, so send me the tag I'll send you the manifold . Take your time I'm in NO rush. Two weeks to get it together is cool with me. I'll PM you my address.

Have you read this:

SWEET!!

I hadn't read that, but the only thing that was NEW news to me was about the throttle linkage. But I was thinking I wouldn't have a problem since I have a QJ on an IH intake. But maybe the difference is the height of the adapter. Anyhow I'm sure I can make it work if I run into troubles.

Thanks. ;)
