I have an 04 Wrangler Unlimited and with stock tires it gets around 16-17 mpg. I put on a set of 33 TrXus MT's and it killed my mpg to around 12. I was just curious to see if people had similar results, I expected it to hurt my mileage but not that much.

Its a jeep, its gonna get shitty mileage no matter what you do to it.. If you need something with good gas mileage, buy a honda :D

You need to regear and correct your speedometer. My wife's YJ with a tired 4.0L gets 17 around town and as high as 20 on the highway with 32s and 4.10s.

Remember bigger tires go a farther distance per turn of the tire, the MPG isn't as bad as you think

Cool, thanks for the feedback. The regear has been something I have thought about. It also did cross my mind about the larger tire not only effecting my speedometer but odometer as well, I wanted to check a measured mile and see what it read. With gas prices today you need to squeeze every mpg out you can. Look at the bright side this gives me a good reason to put on a high flow exhaust and header. Already put a K&N style air intake on, don't know if it helped mileage but I could honestly tell a difference in power!
