Hi,

Can some one discribe the e-brake mechanisim on the 2001 GM truck rear brake calipers. These units can be had for around 110 with out core. It seems to me that since these are made for trucks and must have a good working e-brake that they would be better than the harder to find caddy calipers. also heard that the caddies dont always wok well.

Heres where i found the rear caliper prices.

Are you sure those are a disk-brake type e-brake arrangement?

It could be just a rotor/drum for the parking brake... And the
price you got might be for the ebrake shoes..... :O
