OK, I'm working on a single ladder-bar style rear anti-wrap bar, simular to Billivistas's

http://billyxj.tripod.com/antiwrapbar/Dcp_2131.jpg

the front mounting point, were do you want it??

Bill has it way forward by his t-case, but wouldn't you want it neerer the rear-fixed spring mount to lessen the posible about of bind/movement??

I know the shackel will take up most of it, but "thereticaly" were is the prefered mounting point?

As far forward as reasonable possible?? Or as close as reasonable to the forward-rear spring mount??

Link worked o.k. for me. I have one very similar to your picture and mounted in about the same place. Only difference is I used a double jointed shackle so it can twist. Never been a problem.

as far forwards as possible I would think, the longer it is the less it tries to tilt the pinion up during travel, if its shorter it will have to wind up the springs during axle droop and that has to bind it up some.

Here is my track bar mount, I made a rear crossmember to protect the rotor on the driveshaft and mounted the shackle for the trac bar to it..

Bingo. Make it as long as possible. CV-style d-shafts prefer it near the t-case output, non-CV d-shafts prefer it at infinity :D Also you want the two legs to join as close to the end as possible.

In my 5, the 2x2 tube steel cross member is directly below the CV and just in front of the spring hanger. You shouldn't get any binding (rotation with the joint, translation with the shackle) no mater where it is in relation to springs.
