Ok now Im back at it again, (gonan swap the D44 from a redeo into my chevy colorado) anyways, The yoke that is on it uses a bolt on type driveshaft, My current shaft uses straps, I dont have the part of the yoke that bolts to the driveshaft so i dont know if it will fit my Ujoint on my driveshaft.
Basicaly I need to know how i can tell what size my U-joint is, and I need to know what size U joint the isuzu comes with, and were i can get the rest of that yoke flange (the part that bolts to the yoke and the driveshaft).
Sorry if I made it confusing........ thanks goys

The stock Rodeo driveshaft uses a 1310 u-joint, at least from 91-97. I would look for a junkyard driveshaft or check car-part.com. I just ordered a new pinion flange from the dealership for $45. They might be able to get you just the driveshaft flange.

I was quoted 88 bucks for the bolt on piece at isuzu. I found a 95 2wd auto rodeo at the junkyard and got the shaft for cheap. Plus it comes with one on each end in case you break one. It pressed right on to my jeep driveshafts 1310.

how can I tell if I have a 1310? The rearend I have has disk brakes and was coil sprung. I think it was from a 99. Are thoughs joints the same? I would assume so.

And also, it has 4.10 gears in it, if i wnated to get say a locker, or lower gears, would all D44 stuff fit it (same splines of course)
thanks guys im stupid

I'm still having a hard time figuring out what you're trying to say you have. A '99 Isuzu D44 will have a pinion flange. The driveshaft has a matching flange. The flange does not *bolt* onto the driveshaft as you said in your first post. It is mated to the driveshaft via the 1310 u-joint. That flange then bolts to the pinion flange.
If you're swapping this into something with a 1310 driveline, you need:
1: A donor driveshaft from the Isuzu.
2: Remove the flange that bolts to the pinion flange from the donor driveshaft.
3: Mount this flang to your current driveshaft using the 1310 joint of your choice. This flange holds the u-joint caps via external snap-rings. You will not be re-using the straps that bolted the u-joint to your old axle.
4: Bolt your driveshaft (with the donor Isuzu flange) to the Isuzu D44
Other notes:
In earlier years, the u-joints were easily identified. Isuzu u-joints use internal snap rings. 1310 used external. The flange bolt pattern and pilot ring were all the same though.
On later years, (98+ Rodeo/Amigo) I *think* that bolt pattern and pilot ring are bigger. That may be the Isuzu joints/flanges from the Trooper, or the 1310 flanges from the Rodeo/Amigo. I don't know for sure. Just make sure you get a driveshaft flange from a 98+ Rodeo/Amigo and you should be pretty much guaranteed it'll work.

They do have a larger bolt patern, and I'm not sure if they use 1310 joints or not. I've got a 1st gen driveshaft, and every pinion flange you can imagine, but no 2nd gen driveshaft.
