Since I sold Formula Toy chassis #38 a couple months ago to AZYOTA, I have been dragging my feet about ordering a Formula 4 chassis. Tonight I finally got off my butt, and sent in my order. Depending on his workload, I should probably be able to pick it up from DESERTOY in 6-8 weeks. Okay John, start warming up that chassis-building table again. :)
If anyone in So. California has a wrecked Toy 4x4 truck (short or long), let me know, since I still haven't found one. :shaking:

Congrats man! Sounds like a cool build up coming. 6-8 weeks will go really fast.

Keep us updated with a thread. I would be interested in getting details for formulatoyeast.com also.

I got the order. formula 4 (DOM) with back seat tube and grill hoop. 1 to 2 weeks sounds doable.

I'm wondering why you didn't get the side panel bracing?

What's the cost of the side panel bracing?

Whatever they charge, it's not worth not getting the bracing;)

What material is the side panel bracing made from?

The side panel bracing is $129 and is made out of 1"x.095 square tubing. Well worth it if you plan on putting side panels on. The outside of the square tubing is welded in so when you bolt the side panel on, it is recessed (at centerline of the chassis tubing). It makes a hug difference on how often you wipe out the side panels on rocks.

129 bucks is a serious time saver and would take them up on any option you can..
