Well i have the old headers off and i went to put the 5.0 headers on to tuck everything up. Well the problem i ran into was that the driverside header runs right into the clutch linkage. Does anyone know about this swap i hought it was a bolt in. Are there other 5.0 headers? Please helps. TIA

Ok i just looked on the wild horses sit to and i figure even if i had the efi motor in the headers would be in the same exact spot and the same thing would happen so i figure i just ended up with the wrong headers any help?

Sorry, but your going to have to cut the collector off and piece a new one on to clear the linkage.a good example (http://classicbroncos.com/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.pl?board=Tech&action=display&num=1017974102&start=11)

I posted it before reading, I thought he did a drivers side with a clutch. I'm in the same position as you almost. The only way to get shorties to work is with mods or getting the $350 wh ones.($$:barf: )
Or go to manifold and get the one Crazyhorse has in my thread. 70' mustang

Yep,
You have to shell out $350 for wild horses headers. I believe they are the only headers that clear the clutch linkage on a 302. I didnt want to spend the money so I went to junkyard and got 351w manifolds. They work well but Im sure they dont flow as well, but I saved over $300.

I don't remember what I paid for them, but the Hedman headers cleared everything on mine. Although they are bringing in some issues with the 4 link I'm working on.
