I think i'm going to try to buy a bike at the end of this summer to go to campus on...parking cars on campus is a PITA! I raced MX for 5 years and am very knowledgable on off-road bikes, but don't know much about street bikes. What are a few fun, reliable bikes that I could find for under $1000? I figure if i start to look now, i should be able to find a :smokin: deal by august.

I would get something like a 250 Honda rebel or something. Reliable, and would get fairly good mileage too! Wouldn't be a rocketship or anything though.
