i have a 1978 chevy one-ton 2 wheel drive 350 v-8. i can't get the front brakes to bleed. when you turn the steering wheel the brake pedal goes to the floor back brakes will bleed but it won't build and pedal. i replaced the hydro brake booster, master cylinder, power steering pump and power steering hoses. when i bought the hydro brake booster it didn't come with a push rod. had to use push rod out of old booster. directions say if brake pedal travels more than 1/2" before fluid movement is noticed in the master cylinder than the push rod is to short. the push rod is non-adjustable and is 31/2" long. do i need a longer push rod and if so where do i get one and what is the right length? please answer back.

have you checked to proportioning valve? Get yourself a piece of 1/4 in round rod and make you diff. pushrod lengths and see what kinda reaction you get. Also make sure you get all the air out of the system....good luck
