Changed my transfer box oil and gearbox oil (LT77) to try and get rid of the fn whine.
Transfer box only had a few metal filings come out.
But the gearbox filter was just about clogged with crap,not filings but sort of flakes.

My question is, what was that stuff ?? Hardening off the gears ??
Does this mean the box is just about stuffed as its only got 50k miles on it. :(

Its the insides of the synchros.

You will still be able to drive it but the synchros will start to get "slow"
