Hello. I'm new to this group, and perhaps someone can help me with this problem. I have a 1987 Trooper with 196k miles on it. I have done the majority of the work on it myself. Rebuilt the head, new front seal, etc. I now have a oil leak coming from around the distributor. I replaced the o-ring on the distributor with one I got from work. It still leaks, not as bad, but leaks just the same. It is quite annoying as the oil drips onto the egr pipe. This is the last leak I need to fix. I came across a ALLDATA TSB #9104007 that addresses this problem, but ALLDATA wants $24.95 for it. Has anyone read this TSB? Has anyone else encountered this problem, and how did you fix it? Is the o-ring metric or standard? My parts book lists it as just a gasket. Any help or advice would be most appreciated.
