ok...
I think i am going over to the 1.6
I have a couple of q.'s
I have duel side draft carbs... no manifold......
I know the intake manifold from a 1.3 will work but still dont know who has them.. calmini...
ok i have a header for my 1.3 ... Can i use that on a 1.6 head??? I want to keep cost down...
I am going to get a sumo 2 head just wondering wich to get.. 1.3 or 1.6.

anyone running side drafts have any problems...???

Think i will have enough power??
I will have duel case.. one nissian 720 and a baby lobster.
Eventually toy axles
This is my daily driver.

Intake and exhaust are interchangeable between the 1.6 and 1.3. The 1.3 has ~30% larger valves, along with bigger intake runners to boot. Exhaust runners are not noticeable different. If you are going to a 1.6 motor, use a 1.6 head. There is no reason to choke it down with a 1.3 head! If you use a 1.3 intake, take some extra time to 'match' the intake to the larger runners in the 1.6 head. It'll help the flow a bit.

I did run into a bit of a problem using a cheapo 1.3 header on a 1.6 motor. It bolts up just fine, but would not clear the larger bell housing on the 1.6 motor. Take a look at how yours fits the 1.3 motor and make sure there is an extra inch clearance available at the bell housing (remember the head will sit an inch higher as well).

P.S. - Remember you will have to use an electric fuel pump. No mechanical pump on the 1.6 head.

If you've been driving the 1.3 you'll love the 1.6! Lot's more torque, very nice on the highway.

Just to clarify, the 1.3 header will work on the 8v 1.6.....it will not work on the 16v.
