: cut out fenders

Does anybody know where to get larger flares for cut out fenders? My fenders are already cut with what I believe is a standard size cutout flare on them. But since I flipped my rear springs I was wanting some more room towards the rear of the fenderwell. If no one makes anything like this I was thinking about maybe finding something for another vehicle and just making it work. Anyone have any experience with this?

I think the consensus around here is to use stock Jeep Yj flares. They are large enough to accomodate the flipped spring conversion, they're flexible and hold up pretty well. Check with the Jeep forum. You might be able to pick up a cheap set from someone who is tubing their fenders or switching to aftermarket flares.

Actually... the flares are heep "TJ" flares. The YJ flares are more rounded while the TJ follow the cruiser flare lines. I think they are only from '97 and up. Check Ebay....

I found a jeep site that has replacement flares for about $30 each. http://www.restore4x4.com/Index.tpl?from=goto
