Can the gear box (minus the chane drive part) be made divorced ie to go between my tranny on 202

Yeah, people have posted on here (in the Dodge section, I think) about having the shaft resplined for a yoke and bolting a plate on the back of the gearbox for a bearing and seal. I believe they had Moser do the splines and cut their own plate. I'm not sure it'll turn up on search because I think it was before the software change.

I was thinking of doing this as well, seems to me it should be simple, the only part I wounder about is supporting the shaft, will it hold free float or will it need a bearing of some type around the output yoke?
