WHat are the diffrences between the ttb high pinion d44 center section and a solid axle high pinion d44 center section? WOuld it be possible to take a hp d44 ttb center and get it tubed to be a solid axle? Would a standard d44 diff. cover bolt right up to the ttb center section? THanks guys.

Take a look at a TTB center section and you'll see it does not have the extra ribing or even the width for axle tubes to go into. since the TTB uses the scissor arms for supporting the vehicle weight the diff only has to hold the gears. on the solid axles the center section has to hold it all together, hence they are a lot beefier.

Like he said they are a totally different casting with no feasable way of making one work.
