I am replacing my front axle on my 87 yj with waggy dana 44. But what should I put in the rear, the model 20 out of the waggy or a 9 inch. I have both. My concern with the 9 inch is the low pinion. any suggestions would be appreciated . Thanks Nick

I'd use the 20,
that way you won't have to dick around with any bolt pattern differences.

If you are going to regear, do a locker, buy new wheels...etc I might think the 9 inch would be best...you can get 40 spline shafts, I think. If you just want something that will bolt up and go, use the model 20, Like before the lug pattern willl match and the gears will match the 44 you pulled.
The HD model 20 is actually a very decent axle, its not a 60 but I would take it over a 44.

I will be putting in gears, 4:56, and lockers.is it not a problem getting all this for the hd model 20? I know it is probly cheaper with the 9 inch (spool and gears) and my 9 inch is a 31 spline axle? if it is all aviliable thats probly what I will Do. Thanks Nick
