Can I get an idea when competitors will begin arriving in the area for the W.E.Rock event. I want to try to put a media blitz together. Is anyone coming possibly on Thursday?

I am trying to get a business in LaFollette/Jacksboro to host a meet a driver(s)/team(s) so that you all can meet the public. Also, I am trying to put together a chance to go on the radio in the Knoxville area with a couple of the different radio stations. I want this event to be big!

I have also helped this past week advertising for this event. I work at the Jellico Public Library and we had our Summer Reading Program. I gave a program on the "rockcrawling", showed the scrapbook I have worked on since 2002, had a big remote control rockcrawler jeep, magazines like Newsweek, Crawl, and Xtreme Offroad, and also gave out jeep coloring pages to the kids, I also showed them my "rockcrawler" that I drive. They really enjoyed the program, and told them to go to the show and shine downtown on that Friday and meet the drivers, 30 kids by the way said that they were coming to the event.

Kim I am glad that you are getting the kids interested. The Jellico of the county is well covered. I am going to bust it over on my side to make this big. I go into full swing next week. I hope to have more ready to announce next week.

Although not competing but a few of us from the Kentucky Krawlers will be working recovery.

This is something that is tentative.

I have two buisnesses that are intrested in hosting a meet a team/autograph session over in LaFollette.
One buisness is interested in possibly doing an exhabition rockcrawl on their hillside. There will be some kind of appearance money/incentive involved with both. I need a team/teams that would be interested in doing it on either Thursday or Friday. Please reply because something is more than likely to happen and I need some teams to agree to come. Question though why have a meet team session in another town, I mean it's always been Jellico, lets keep it that way, make them come to where the rockcrawlers are :D

Kimber, sometimes it helps to get the word out by letting people that have never seen the sport, see a rig and team in person. Everyone in Jellico knows what rock crawling is....

I talked to one of the buisness owners, they will let me know something by Friday. I am on the trail down on my side of the mountain hustling something. I still do not have a team that says that they would come and participate. Still looking if anyone is interested, I will have some kind of appearance money in play, may not be a lot but it will be something.

The guy I had a meeting with today had to postpone until Monday. I will know something on Monday. An announcement is delayed.

The exhabition is on hold till next year. We do have a second location. A team has come on board for the appearance. The date will be on Friday July 14. I am trying to secure a sponsor to cover appearance money. I hope to have the full announcement by Friday.
