Threw in a couple pairs o speakers in my SII, other than that just waitin for my cage form Snoopy ;)

Oh yea, I think I found a 203F to go behind my C6 in my S80, I wanted the atlas but I can't afford anything and a doubler will have to do. Now I need some adapter plate and either a 205 or a 300..

Well Ive been out for a while, I had to go up to fort Dix for a few weeks and before that life just got in the way. But Friday I finally got all the holes in my floor patched up, well almost. I only have one piece left to do. But now I can drive it without the heat of the engine comming in the cab! I only have it tacked in now and need to weld it all up this week. Then today my wife and I traded the mini-van off for a 2005 Grand Prix. Much cooler ride...

Worked in the yard for 7 hours in the 100+ degree heat... :shaking: We close on a new house on Tuesday so the packing begins tomorrow... shoulda started sooner...but got to have the current one in top shape before going on the mkt.

...and Scout related stuff? Piled lots of boxes of clothing on it. :shaking:

At 10 pm it's still 98 degrees... Tomorrow 111...

I told everyone I would have weight on my new 44044 this weekend. NOT:shaking:
A Gate job I bid on came back, and like everyone else they need is done asap. 100 degree sound like its cooler in AZ than Sac. I installed one of those HF truck crains in my dump trailer. Works for what I need it for.

I have been busy today. Tried to haul 3 cord of wood before it got too hot. Didnt quite make it. I have 2 1/2 cords on the truck and trailer. My dad has 1/2 cord on the chev. Dodge was like "I'm sorry. Is this supposed to be heavy?" Tires were a little squishy though.

I had to go pull my exhaust donut out after Carls BS post on the BB!!!:D

Also decided to install my new fan and shroud after the broke motor mount took mine out last year in Germany....Only 1 month and we leave for Germany again....guess it was time to finish the repairs!!!

Now I'm trying to get the A/C reinstalled...it's hot this year!!

Any one got a good supplier for A/C hose and fittings?
Going to sanden and 134A.

I cut off the front bumper to put it on the back, then the long bumper can go on the front.

Got a cell phone mostly for work.

Talked to this girl who has absolutely nothing to say.

Talked to a friend in Ohio about getting a job at NASA's Plum Brook research station where he works. I just started my current position about a month ago and would hate to leave, but I want to see what they offer before I completely turn it down.

pulled the engine, tranny, transfer case out of my dad's scout. when turning it around so we could pull the engine, we figured out why it had no power. revving it provied a nice spray of carbon out of the exhaust, and left a nice black spot on the road:laughing: will be pulling the engine apart this week, and cleaning up the new t-19 and xfer that's going in. also need to gather the rest of the parts for the auto-manual swap:cool2:

The weather was pretty nice up there on the rez , kind of warm when I got back down in the valley .
The shape and the size of those canyon walls is unbelievable ! It took me 5 years to talk the club into running the canyon and it was well worth it .

the trans cost me $100 for an IH 2wd tf727 + $400 for the rebuilding using the tailshaft and housing from the jp tf727 I got from you (thanks). Picked up a seal and gasket set for the jp dana 300 you sold me (thanks again) I'll be doing the reseal soon, but 1st I have to paint the outside of my house (boss said so) :shaking: . My 392 is almost together so I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Also been making my rear springs out of left over tundra and tocoma rear springs, I'll posts pics when I get done but this is what I got so far used the top 54" leaf from the tacoma and placed it on top of the tundra leafs, including the top leaf, but cutting it that will give me 4 long flexy leafs ( I hope). The pin is off set towards the rear approx 2 " to move my d60 back a bit more.:D

Finished up my new tie rod.

Rewelded the bottom skid plate on my rear diff.

95% done with a power steering box rebuild.

Looked for a new house with more garage. Ran a lot of piddly errands.

It was too hot to work but it had to be done. And when it is already 100 degrees you don't really notice the additional heat from welding  heck I damn near set myself on fire and didn't notice...

Finally rebuild and assembled the front brakes for my KB-7. Almost put it all together last night but I want to clean up some things first and bleed all the old fluid out of the brake system before I plumb in the new stuff.
http://tigger.tmcom.com/~marka/PhotoAlbums/KB7/Dscn0963.sized.jpg

Also started stripping some H1 rims for repaint. I don't know what paint the army uses, but some of it is a BITCH remove. Not to mention there were like 4 or 5 layers of paint on each.

I think I'm going to send the outer rigs out for sand-blast. To much work with the chemical stripper.

Mowed a couple of lawns. Bitched about the heat (95 or so here, DAMN hot for me). Grabbed some replacement sheet-metal for the racer… actually got a fair about done this weekend between changing diapers, being a dad and a hubby and not working myself to death.

I know the weekend doesn't start on Thursday, but seeing as I had to work on Saturday I started my weekend work on Thursday night. By friday night the Crawler old belly pan skinned in UHMW. I am still trying to work out how to skid the oil pan, as it was "clearenced" last year at some point. Here's the finished product. Over all the cost was pretty low, but if you are going to do it, skin the belly pan the same time as you build it. Getting ours back into a workable condition was almost as much work as cutting the UHMW and bolting it down.

Man I'm jealous. Looked like a good show to me. The picture of the scout with the speciallialy fabbed top caught my eye, in the back ground there's a orange scout that looks like my good one.

I spent the weekend with the binder. We had our once a year club night run. Friday night we pulled the trail scout into the shop to see what noise was coming from the used rear end I thru in it about 6 months ago. Turned out to be the small spider gears. When ever the track lock would disengage, the spiders were so worn that they would chatter.....night before a major trail ride, what do you do:confused:  out came the welder and we fixed it, Poor mans' locker.

Saturday I worked till 5 am, right home and laid down till 11am. Then we got up and I was on the road for the night run by 1pm. We got about 20 miles from our destination and the storm clouds moved in fast. We pulled into a car wash just in time for the torrential down fall. While it rained we slapped the canvas top on, then we headed back out. We were soaked when we got there. I thought they were going to cancel the run, but as luck would have it they didn't.

It was a great trail ride. Gumbo mud and bluff country has a nice mix. The trail scout performed exceptional well. And we did some major damage. We cracked the rear bumper clean off in a creek bed with 4 foot drops. Split a swamper open, and here's the sad part, ran a tree limb thru one of my fiber glass inserts. Not sure of the damage underneath yet as it still sits out at the shop waiting for a good power washing before the hoist. We have another ride in two weeks so I'm have to get after it.

After the ride, this is the time of year that the club puts on a hotdog roast/ beer drinking event. We went to leave I let the oldest lad drive to stay legal. Once out on the highway we had to pull over because the headlights were all over the place, seems we pulled the grill loose too. Some quick work with some zip ties fixed that and we got home to the local pub for some karaoke.

Forgot to mention, This would have been a really cool post with pictures. And we took a bunch. But at the end of the trail ride it was pouring down rain and we had to make a mad dash to get out of the bottem. On the way out , my camera and shop keys bounce out of the scout. It was one of those situations where you don't let off the accelerator or your stranded. The lad and his girlfriend walked back down with a flash light and found the keys and a smashed camera:mad3: I'll take pictures at the next one.

No I got mine the same place you did. I really like the extended front. It fixed my front driveline angle problem. I just got back from arizona, so I am going to weld up a square tube driveline tommorrow after work.

Yes, I got mine from jeff, at ihonlynorth. In my opinion its the best one on the market that I have seen. Whats nice is I already had cut and turned my knuckles, and this kit has a huge amount of adjustability so you dont have to change your castor again. Plus you can make it no lift or up to a couple of inches to level off if needed. I cant wait to hit the trail. I am gonna build a front driveline tonight and then its on.

Make sure you build it with a minimum of 5 to 6 inches of slip.

I bought a enough to have 10 inches of overlap sitting. That will allow four or five inches left inside at full flex. If everything works out I will make a spare. Did you use the yokes from the stock rear driveline, or off another rig?

I've got 10 different D lines of various shapes and sizes in the garage. Just make sure you center everything up good when you goto weld it up. It will make noise, so don't let that freak ya out when you first use it:D

Do you use any grease or oil on the slip or run them dry?

He uses the copper anti-seize. Grease collects to much dirt, and a shot of WD40 re-hydrates the anti-seize.:D

I will have to try that, I was thinking grease would turn into a nut log.

you say he uses anti-seize to reduce the amount of dirt that is collected by the ususal grease, and to re hydrate it use WD 40. well WD 40 collects dirt like a mutha fawker!! the anti seize might last a little longer but if you rehydrate it with WD 40 its just going to collect dust anyway

Bart, the damange sucks, but it sounds like you had fun:cool2: As for the pics, shouldnt they still be on the card, or was it a regular camera, not digital? I'd think the card wouldn't be smashed

It was a throw away camera, sorry it took so long to answer this, but I've been busier than a one legged man in a butt kickin contest.

I've got a new idea for a rear bumper, but we've been busy working on the lads toyota. That and about 20 other projects I got going at once. I took the 4th off and it was great, we sat around with friends, drank LOTS of beer, barbaque'd, and listen to Jimmy Buffet tunes.

I did manage to pick up 2 more clevis today, the good screw in type for $20 for the pair at a farm and fleet close out.:smokin:

Here's some pictures of the damage, a shot of where the rear bumper use to be and the damaged insert.

the light had a cover before the trail ride! I'm going to do something with the channel that is left, I have a piece of heavy 3 inch pipe that I'm thinking of welding to it and welding on some clevis mounts.
