TJ dana 30 pinion seal replacement

I have the front driveshaft and the yoke off and can't get the old pinion seal out. I have seen some writeups that say to pry it out with a flathead screwdriver but where do I pry?

any help would be appreciated.

seal puller works best, go thru the opening in the seal for the pinion towards the outside of the housing to pry on the metal frame of the seal. sometimes they pop right out, sometimes they need some persuasion
