: Which seats to use in 145???

Ok guys, it's coming time to start thinking about the interior of the 145 and I've been out to the junkyard this morning looking at seats.

I was thinking of using Disco II front seats and a rear bench seat and the matching seatbelts and found a complete set for $2000. Seems kind of high, so I was thinking about some other options and honestly don't have much experience riding in a lot of other cars than Rovers.

I liked the seats we had in our 740 Volvo wagon several years ago, but they are too damn big. Same for our Mercedes wagon we just sold.

So, here's where I'm looking to the POR gurus to stretch their minds and think of something other than D60's (which I saw a LOT of today laying around), and 47 inch tires (is there such a thing?).

Give me your advice, suggestions etc...

I'm starting from scratch with the interior, and will not have to deal with the factory seatbox or any other nonsense, so don't worry about making them 'fit' the seatbox.

Ok, fire away!!!!!

Thanks,

Michael

$2000! I would trade my seats out of my 92 RR with wet okole covers (black) and all seat belts, controls, etc. For a set of Corbeaus with seat mounting hardware!!! Have you thought of doing a set of Carrerras? Those are super nice and are close to $1000 for a pair.

the seats in my rig are kick ass and are heated leather ones out of an older saab 9000. they fit well in the series truck interior as well.

I have seen Ranger Rover seats in a 110 before (Clark, the Yeti guy) but my personal bias for factory/junkyard seats is BMW. Stop by the house and and you can try it out. Let your tush feel the cush.

Oh, sorry wrong neighborhood, wrong board:rainbow: .

What ever you do, get leather.

As far as bench options, International (think newer tow truck, not travelall) has some cool cubby boxes under the seats, pretty comfortable as well.

Yes I am a newbie. Thank you Sir! May I have another?! There is a guy on the RN board asking for offers on a set of d90 seats. You might also take a look at Acura seats. They seem smaller to me than the seats in my Volvo 740.

Guys, please be nice to me. I'll go back to lurking in the background now.....

mike how wide is the back?
I thought about using a removable minivan rear bench seat as the bench for my cj-10 it might work for the back of yours as well
as for the front, I would try to get heated miata seats like Dennis has

Grey leather Disco I MANUAL seats

Another good choice (if you want cloth) is 99 disco II manual seats.

The disco manual seats are soooooooo comfortable and look great in a D145

I also like the stock D90 seats in vinal.

Power DII and power disco/rr seats all suck.
