One note about Foster Tool...that free shipping takes the slow boat from China.

Got my Hobaaht Stickmate form them just a lil while back...came from SC, or NC...cant remember, and took like three weeks.
Actually come to think of it, it was drop shipped from Hobart/Miller, and they were out of them at the time of my order...my bad...it still took too long fro my tastes.

Otherwise they were the best price I could find, and free shipping is cool if you arent in a hurry.
Its like $90 to ship from some other places on the same unit that I have.

yep, same thing. Hobart uses some plastic internal parts, whereas Miller's are aluminum. All parts are interchangeable.

Check out your local Tractor Supply Co., the local one here has the 175's with the cart...which is around $98, as a set for $679. I think that's better than the web guys. The machine itself is pretty light duty...alum. coils etc. verses copper. Check out the weight it's around 65 lb.:smokin:

Damn I should have been more patient and ordered my Miller 175 instead of buying local. $777 with 8hrs of welding class.

Try your local welding supply first. Picked up a HH175 3 weeks ago $575 out the door. Besides it's easier to buy consumables local when you need them and not have to wait. Keep your money local when you can.:cool:

The game plan is to find an advertised :smokin: deal and take the ad to the local place, see if they'll beat it. :)

My buddy just picked up a Hobart 175 ( metal internals,rollers) for $503 at Humphries weldng ( local shop) in American Fork, Utah
