Anyone know if they make a mini spool for the 8.8 that fits inside a LS carrier?

I was told they do put haven't been able to find one.

I've never seen a mini spool for the LS carrier.

I'd be reluctant to run the 8.8 mini spool. I've seen 3 break into pieces with only light duty use. I'm running 36 SX's with a 4 popper TJ and I'm on my second one. I Just ordered a lunch box for cheap. I figure the lunchbox will be a little more forgiving.

Good luck

Also, with a minispool, don't you need c-clip eliminators? Those aren't strong enough to handle the side loads wheeling puts on them, so they'll leak and/or break. Something to think about.

We just installed a mini-spool from DTS last month in an 8.8 with the LS carrier. Just ripped out the old crap and put it in. You only need c-clip eliminators if you do the full spool, the other uses your c-clips.

One tip is that when fitting the c-clips back in between the spool halves grind off the edge of the Cs a little. It will help them slide in, otherwise they won't go in.

Thanks for clarifying.

did you have issues sliding the sides of the spool in through the opening in the LS carrier?. thats where I thought the problem was.
