: enforcing the frame

Yes I know the search buttom and I used it so now I am posting! I am looking for ways to enforce the frame on my 79 Bronc. Does anynoe have anyone ideas or pics to help. I have already had to fix the frame behind the steering box

just go crazy welding 1/8" plate all over the place.

dont waste time reinforcing every square inch of the frame. yould be better off buying a new frame for that. you will only need to reinforce where suspension components bolt on to. if you have TTB, reinforce where the pivot brackets bolt on to. also maybe reinforce the spring and shock mounts. reinforce the rear spring mounting points also. you might want to consider reinforcing the engine and tranny mounts as well. are you going to be doing a lot of jumping? or preparing for a tough truck competition?

no I will be doing a lot of rocks and hill climbs and a mud bog here and there.
