I see Sierra Trek is scheduled for Aug 10 - 13th on Fordyce.

two reasons:

trying to avoid the fire restrictions

doing it on labor day conflicts with people's family obligations...

i think the last i heard was the pig run was going to be in deer valley 8/26-8/27... it seemed like the like the pismo idea was shot down due to SNT.

Georg , I think deer valley and family camp go hand in hand. That is a great event for Labor day but thats just my opinion.

SNT is plenty of time at Pismo. Did you ever decide where 55 will be ?

I may try and shoot up to the 45 run with my daughter and leave prego at home by herself . yea right..............

Sierra Trek IMO , you thought waiting for those FJ's was bad , have fun at Sierra Park and wait. I've heard from some regulars they are very selective on who can backdoor the event via upper access and they are very structured about who gets to camp where. Night entry is best.

We did it last year, even my then 18 month old son did the SWB (Fordyce) run with us. Since they turn the water down and since they have great spotters at the winch hills, the trail is not nearly as hard as it could be.

Well run event, in fact the next best thing to a TLCA event:laughing:

I will be on winch hill 3 with the Fourdice crew..
