Just gotta hook up the steering, make rollcage, mount the shocks, and make some fender wells for the rear, and some tedious little shit! The rear tire is off the ground 41" and still not llifting a tire!

Nut-
Looking good... :smokin: Very impressed with how much of the body you retained. Don't get me wrong, i like the tube stuff, but sometimes it's not very practical. My current project will be chopped very much along similar lines. My whole reason for keeping as much of the rear tub as i can is, i am in the midwest, and like it or not, ya gotta deal with the mud slop...
Just gotta...make some fender wells for the rear
If you have access to sheet metal fab stuff:flipoff2: you're good to go. If you don't, I have seen a couple zuks done up nice with the drag car wheel tubs available from summit/jegs. What I am considering using is the j**p, box style wheel tubs, which i think will be easier to fab up than the drag style, and give more clearance. YMMV....

What front springs rate and unloaded spring total lenght you used?

DOn't think my pop's would like that one very much, be funny though:D If you have access to sheet metal fab stuff you're good to go
I wish I had access to sheetmetal tools, but I don't and I am not gonna buy the Summit ones cause by the time I would get done chopping them up to fit my wheelwell opening there wouldn't be much left, which would be a waste of money. I am just gonna box it in with some 20-22 gauge sheet metal. Hopefully it won't be to hard to bend the edges of the sheetmetal so that I have a lip to get a good weld. DO I need a Sheetmetal brake to do that?
I agree with you on the tube rigs, they are awesome, but where there is lots of mud, they're somewhat impractical. What front springs rate and unloaded spring total lenght you used? I must have answered this one a million times. I am starting to feel like a broken record, but anyways the springs are from summit and are QA1 130lb.rears/150lb.fronts 14"long. Don't understand the rest of your question, clearify for me what you are asking.

I've had pretty good luck bending sheetmetal by hand with pieces of wood, or small square tubing, and c-clamping them to the sheetmetal.

Please post pics of your wheelwell solution when you get it done, I'm thinking of running the tubs, but your point on hacking them up is a good one. Much better to build them yourself, so as not to waste all of that material. :D

Hey Nut, nice ride! If you bend up a piece of half inch strap (eighth inch thick) in the shape of the wheel well, you can take that to a shop with a break, and they can bend up sheetmetal to your exact deminsions. It shouldn't cost more than $40 for both and won't take but a coupla minutes.

Switching subjects, what kind of car is the yellow one? Somebody mentioned somethin about Opal, but whatever it is, I know where there's a red one complete and probably for sale.
