I have an 1986.5 Hardbody v6 and after 210k i have an horrible oil leak. I mean real bad. The oil has been changed exactly at 3k miles. The leak looks like it's comming from the front of the engine. But i was wondering what usually goes out in that area. I have heard something like the cam seals could be leaking? Or maybe the oil pump. If it is just an engine seal it should be fine if i just add oil and fix it as soon as i can. Any info on this would help. Thanks

Check the valve cover screws. Thats the first place that leaks.

I have already changed the head gaskets on both sides. I think i am going to change back to a 10w-40 oil and see if that helps. Since it is summer time and i am still running a 5w-30. I will see if that helps. But would it make a difference in this obviously huge leak?

Correction! I guess it was a little late to be talking engines. I changed the valve cover gaskets not too long ago. I will be working on it soon, anyone else have any comments on this situation?
