: got my rig weighed today.
Lance 04-18-2002, 08:48 PM With my new 38.5sx's, she's weighing in at a rather plump 3615lbs. A little heavier than I hoped, but still not too bad.... the SNORT guys like 1/4" plate. :D
It's weight bias is
2421 front
1192 rear
That equates to 67% in the nose. Not bad.... Passenger tires have about 100lbs more weight on them than the driver's tires. Good, since the driver is a "little" heavy. :D
 thats funny Kelly doesn't look heavy at all in the pictures.
:flipoff2:
fatkid 04-18-2002, 08:55 PM Sweet, sounds like you need to take it too the Hammers on the 26th...:flipoff2:

don't feel so bad.

Laura is a fat pig!
Strange Rover 04-19-2002, 03:39 AM So whats the best weight distribution. Twice as much on the front as on the back. Is this what I should be aiming for or is this just the way it turned out.
My rig wants to do front endos really bad going down steep shiat and I think its too front heavy (I dont know the weight distribiution, I really should find out). Although running 42s on a 100in wheelbase probably doesent help either. :D
Sam
Welby 04-19-2002, 06:29 AM My Tj was 4,000 on the nose, when I weighed it last summer, and that was before going to 35's, adding a Warn up front and a tire carrier that I'd guesstimate at 75 lbs or so....
Oink:fj:
3,600? I think that's about the same as my rig, 'course mine has a full body on it :D

a) Tire limit size is 40" for the comps so that rules out 42's (and my Dana 44 rules out 42's as well)
b) I like the SX better than the 39.5 Bogger or TSL
c) I can get more tire speed with the 38. :D

Usually Lance's cruiser that I help build and payed about 1/2 for myself to get it runnin and keep it running. Or sometimes I get sponsored to compete in somebody else's vehicle.

Naaah, not really. But sometimes I let him out of his cage so he can come out and play too. :D
Hell, Lance doesn't have to be around for me to go wheelin. I usually can fix pretty much anything I would break on a trail like the rubicon.
nah, just joking....besides, i'm probably oldenough to be your father, i'm bold and i'm plane ugly:(
You MAY be old enough to be Lance's daddy. But I doubt you are old enough to be mine.:D

Three words:
Gay. Toyota. Axles.
:D:flipoff2::D:flipoff2::D
mytzlflick 04-19-2002, 04:21 PM seems kinda heavy considering there is not much there, I figure the ultimate weight distribution is a little forwards cause you apply power going up and the weight as close to center as possible.

Jaffer 04-20-2002, 08:25 PM Yo, Camo-
Do the rule guys ever give you grief at the comps about no hood?
Just wondering cuz I'm wondering if the ProRocs boys are going to give me grief over my CJ-7 "hoodless wonder" next week here and trying to decide to give the old lid a primer coat and mount it just to keep them happy.
I notice that some of the other Orgs. specifically mandate a covering over yer mill ...

morpheus 04-20-2002, 08:34 PM camo's rig is a thing of beauty compared to this thing i saw today at the comp. dual SM465's and a 205 with rockwell's f/r ... in case you couldn't tell it's an s-10 .... or that's what the program said.
Big Rich 04-20-2002, 09:43 PM First of all Camo's rig does not come out to the comp's. hence no hood is good. Besides there are tomany good rigs in the tin benders camp for camo to worry if his rig is worthy, Right Camo...:D :D
Besides they (the benders) like Camo's ass hang'n on the end of a tight strap.
If you really want to see the rig wheel, watch Lisa drive It.
FROG I can't wait until you show up for a run on the con, lance will be rid'n shotgun and Kelly well be wheel'n all over that big ugly mass of metal you shipped to the states....:D :D

Heavy Metal Toy 04-21-2002, 12:20 AM Camo, what are the specs on your buggy? I got the toy axles, but what motor and stuff? Front suspension? And I dont know how you guys get off saying that thing is ugly. It's a thing of beauty.
4.3 v6 with mods.

Lance 04-22-2002, 09:54 AM Jaffer, ProRocks requires a hood for Stock/Mod, and you don't need a hood for Unlimited..... See ya this weekend. :cool2:
