I just picked up a 1988 Pathfinder with a bad V6 and have a 1987 Maxima with a good one, my question is are the bottom ends and heads the same between the two. Thanks

Should be. Ones a VG30i and ones a VG30e. Obviously have to swap oil pans and oil pickups. The long block should be the same.
