I have recently gotten rid of my 86 runner and got an 85 nissan with 15" of lift on 38.5 with half ton chevy axles and springs. It has a chevy power steering gear box and pump on a fabbed bracket that is a piece of junk. I was wondering how a stock pump from a nissan mounted on the motor and if it had a resevior on it or if it like the yota and had it on the fenderwell. The truck has the 2.4 with the dual spark plugs. My last question is, the transfer case is divorced from the transmission. Is this the factory t-case or did someone swap it out as well. What I want to do is put a 4.3 v6 in it. I have a th400 from a pickup that has the bolt on yoke and it is the same length as the nissan tranny and I can make it work with the little shaft between the tranny and t-case. Thanks for any help.

you got a stock case

The PS resevior on the d21's are mounted on the fender well, I would assume that a 720 would be the same.

All 720s are engine mounted. Right where the mechanical fuel pump used to be.

Its on the right side in front. The black thing with a black cap just barely in this pic.

D21 was the first model to be fender mounted.

Thanks for the reply. The truck has a small block chevy power steering pump on it in the exact same location as factory would be. I am having problems with the hoses. I can not seem to route them out of the way. Does anyone have a pump off of a truck they can take some pics of in all angles and post them for me. Thanks
