87 4Runner on 4" sup lift. Always ran 35x12.5x15 on 15x10 (3.75" bs). Truck was stolen, got it back, need new tires and wheels. I know all the advantages and disadvantages of running 12.5 inch tires on 15x8 and 15x10 wheels, but I would like to know if anyone runs 12.5 tires on 15x8 wheels on the street, as this truck will be semi-often be driven around town. Should I go with the 15x10, or will the 15x8 suffice on the pavement? Thanks guys.
P.S. The 15x8 will be free. Gotta pay for the 15x10.

The 8's will be fine. That is all I have ever run with 12.50 tires.

I have run 12.50 wide tires on 8" wheels for years now, besides them wearing slightly more in the middle than on the outside, I havent seen any downsides. Although the center wear is mainly in back because of the detroit.

the center wear is mainly because your tires are over inflated. the Detroit had dick to do with it.
run them on 8. they will be fine, not look stupid and hold a bead better.

8's without a doubt. I run my 33x13.50s on 15x8's. I know a lot of guys who run 14.50's on 8's. You can even find guys who run 35x16.00 Boggers on 8's. Unless you're running a ridiculously wide tire, 8's are usually the way to go.

8s all the way! they hold there bead very well. Just got back from Pismo and my tires were all outa wack (thinking just outa balance from dune hopping) today the tire guy said there was about a gallon of sand inside the tire. sand got in alil air came out but kept the bead strong!
