I'm going to be staying in lake hemet for a few days. Lake Hemet is outside Idylwild in the San Jacinto mountains. If anybody knows of any trails in the area I'd greatly appreciate a response with more info.
Thanks,
Ben

I want to say thee is one more difficult trail but I'm pretty sure all the trails in and around SanJac are fire roads or of that caliber.

Not sure, but my guess is fire roads. Try calling All Pro in Hemet. :) http://www.allprooffroad.com/

Yep mostly fire roads. Do a search for Thomas Mountain, that's a nice run with some great views. Probably the closest thing with any kind of challenge would be upper Coyote Canyon, which isn't too far away on the hardball (pretty hot there this time of year tho).

Upper Coyote Canyon is closed this time of year for the sheep. It will re-open in late September or early October.
Wheeling in the San Jacintos is fireroad wheeling - not much there from my experience. Try contacting the Hemet Jeep Club to see what they know.
