ok this may sound retarded but oh well. is it worth getting a spare set of 14 bolt axle shafts (FF) to carry for spares?
i know the odds are slim to none to bust a shaft, but would it still be a decent idea?

You can break anything if you try hard enough, but i wouldn't think you'd need spares, specially since its a FF

To each his own, if it gives you a warm fuzzy then do it. Personally I think it's overkill, but I have seen guys on the trail with a spare.:smokin:

have a set in the garage= good plan, take an extra 100lbs with you that rarly if ever breaks = why bother?
get enough spare parts on the back and you will eventually be heavy enough to need them.

bring em along and leave em in the tow rig, that way someone can get it if it is needed!
that is if you tow, if not i wouldn't take em!

I am getting a full float 14 bolt in 2 weeks, and I have no plans of carying spare shafts for it.

If you are locked in the rear and do happen to break a 14 bolt FF shaft (yeah right) then take the broken peice out and reinstall whats left of the shaft. Then you drive home but you only have one wheel drive in the rear. Screw carrying 14 bolt spare shafts.
