If Camo wants me to move this to Chit chat I will
During the Rubithon 2000 there was a Blue early 60's (or so) chevy pickup (beat to hell) and an OLD power waggon running the Con. they were supposed to be local.
Anyone know who they were?
The chevy guy (chris I think) took a pic of my landcruiser that I would love to have...
Thanks all...

The chevy and dodge were not actually part of the Rubithon. They just happened to be running the trail that day. I believe that it was on thursday but it may have bene friday...
I was on the run that was supposed to leave wed and make it to Rubicon springs on thurs. Icehouse run I believe. But one of our people Broke a rear pinion at the top of Walker Hill so we camped there for the night. Our trail leader was a man and his wife in a Red (was white in 99) 40. (This is bad, can't for the life of me remember his name but I remember the specs on his rig just fine :D) 2F, 35's SU. Really nice guy. He spent the night with us on Walker...
The Chevy was parked on one of the granite slabs near buck Island lake I think...

was the chevy with the guy in the dodge? I think the power wagon dodge thingy came in with our group, the thursday
straight to the spring run. I dont remember the chevy being with him. I think the chevy was on old sluice broke on thursday, then saturday night the wife and I were heading toward spider from buck and the chevy was broke blocking the trail. The passenger
in the power wagon I think was the guy from Renegade fabrication? The chevy was still on the trail two weeks later near the soup bowl with a stripped front ring and pinion, and many other thing wrong.

I am not sure if they were together or not. But I believe that old sluice is where I saw him. I did not realize that he was that broke. I just remember the front right headlight was only being held on by a couple of wires  ;)

I think he was with a scout at the time I saw him in the old sluice,
He was more broke than the chevy. The guy in the scout asked me if I could weld his steering box back to the frame, but I told him I (I was on thursday trail committee) needed to get the rest of our group to the springs b4 it got to late.:flipoff2:
I think the scout was also on the trail 2 weeks later parked at the top of walker.
