Is there any specific info I need to know about hooking up a Saden compressor for OBA. I heard they have to be constantly oiled or they'll burn up. Let's see the info boys!!

I ran one on my Toy for years all I ever did was throw a little gear lube down the intake once a month or two I'm forgetful at times :)Never had any troubles.
I finally did OBA in my TJ last week I have some loose ends to deal with to tidy things up but it's functional and works great!!!

The wife has had hers for 2 years now (man I'm a lazy bastard ) I plan on running it just like the TOY unit gear lube down the gullet every now and then.
btw the Sanden was given to me for free and I it rocks just as much output as the med stroke york for sure. Right now it's just straight output no tank I layed it on a 33x12.50 swamper for 2 min exactly with the engine at idle (750) it went from 0 to 38 psi in that time I'm very happy:)
I also made a quick disconnect Tee I can't wait to plumb both are OBA's together should be the bomb for air tools.

The Sanden's are internally oiled like the Yorks, they shouldn't need any extra oil added to the air intake...

They are not like yorks no seperate oil supply it's in the refrigerant.

OK, then what is the dipstick used for when checking the oil level?

The oil is not totally seprate dude the compressor holds oil and requires that a certain amount be in it at all times but the oil mixes with the refrigerant.
The York on the other hand has a completely seprate system for oiling that keeps it from mixing with the refrigerant.
If you look here
http://www.sanden.com/support/servicemanual/english/oil_charging.html
you will see that there is a chart giving you typical amounts of oil left in componets.
hope this helps, I'd say Brad might be the man to settle this one for sure.

If I'm not mistaken that airfilter is a "K&N".
