heres another question to the onei ha posted a few weeks ago.
moe ifo on the scout its a 64 with a slant 4 . the tranny and transfercase is all one piece.. doube lever transfercase.. interanation lock outs.. the rear axle is bent.. the frams is in good condtion ..manual steer. thats about all i know so far .. what im wonderign is this a rig that would be worth pulling out of the pastor or should i let the old dog die!

some one hasto know somethign about this unit.. .. im notsure but im thinking the transmission tranny case is a odd set up .. but i am a jeep man.. so is this something that would be woth the hassle or not?

Well, that's what I started with..a 64 with a 152 4 cyl, t-90 (called something else in IH terms) tranny, and a Model 18 t-case with twin stick.

Now, the only IH parts left are:
Frame
Most of the body
Headlights
Tail lights
Front marker lights

And that's it.

If you want my advice...if your serious about wheeling it, go buy a 3/4ton Chevy (I'm a Chevy guy, but buy whatever your most comfortable with) and swap the entire thing into the Scout...Motor, tranny, Maybe a 203-205, axles, wiring, steering...I mean everything!

How did it get in your pastor? Maybe he should see a doctor, If he is a good preacher you should definitely not just let him die.
