hey all ok i am putting a drivetrain back together in an 85 k-20

it is a factory 700r4 and 208 case rig

i found a good 700r4 out of an 88 k-1500 for it and still have the original 208 case

well i didnt pay much attention and i need to know which where the o ring is for and where the flat gasket is for

i assume the O ring is for the transmission side of the adapter and that the flat gasket is for the transfer case side of the adapter, right ?

it is the later round style adapter

also where can you find a new round style gasket ?

we only have napa and o reilly auto and autozone here

what is the technical name and does anyone know for sure if any of these three places have this gasket- or am i going ot have to make one myself ?

thanks for anything

The Right Stuff RTV is your answer. I used it the last time I put my t-case on my adaptor and after I had it all unbolted the RTV held the case to the adaptor on its own, I was very suprised.
