So after looking at some YJ steering shafts with the U-joints, has anybody fitted one of these to a CJ? Does the column or box have different splines from the CJ's? I figured I'd ask before I buy one and find out it will not work...

or you could just get the flaming river/borgeson shafts that are made for CJ's, sure to fit.

I understand that but if I'm moving the box and will have to modify the shaft, then it would be just as easy(and cheaper if it works) to just start with a YJ steering shaft.

yj shafts are 3/4" 30 spline at the box and at the column it is a double d.

cj's are either 3/4" 36 spline or 13/16" 36 spline and a 1" 48 spline at the column. :(
