Looking for a measurement

I will eventually buy a soft top for my 80, but for now I was wondering if someone has / could measure the distance from the the rear floor to the top. I gota figure out how high I can mount my rear bench without interfering with my soon to be top. Im not sure if running a string line off of my half cab would be accurate! Also, I could swear I once herd of something along the lines of a "geared assist" brake unit. Anybody know of such a thing? Thanks Alot
