I got the Rockstomper 16.5" DIY beadlocks for my rig but haven't had them on it yet. I have only gotten the rings welded on so far. But AFAIK air leaks would be your first indicator of the bolts being out of spec. I would make a point of it to check them out every time before and after you hit the trail. A simple torque stick to make sure they are in their proper range should suffice just fine. But thats just my .02. :D

Anybody else with some IRL experience with them?!?

I have Champion beadlocks, and while the welds are as perfect as you can get I still applied a bead of RTV on the inside of the wheel before mounting the tires. Re-torqued the beadlocks every day for a couple weeks and haven't needed to redo them in the 6 months since. 'Course... aluminum rings may be different than steel rings. YMMV.

I bought the 32 bolt setup from carmon safety lock (800-290-6519) I sent my wheels to him and he welded them for me for $15 each. the weld is great and i know they won't come apart. torqued them a couple of times and they stayed tight. one is leaking a little but I don't know why. will find out later. I ran 6 lbs at the Superlift thing in AL they worked great. my tires worked better than I ever expected. great investment.
